What you’re looking for

Interns with the RISE program have found an opportunity to build their resumes with an in-depth introduction to the food and hospitality industry, a chance to step outside their comfort zones and grow as people, and a place where they feel their voices are heard.

For those interested in exploring the world of professional kitchens, working with our pastry team has helped past participants develop confidence, problem solving and time management skills. For those looking for experience in hospitality, our cafe team has supported participants in recognizing and nourishing their voice through customer service and helped develop strong independent working habits.

Our program is created specifically for young people ages 16-24 from historically marginalized communities. No prior work experience is necessary, but an interest in professional kitchen work or customer service is preferred - and a dream of owning your own food business is a plus!
